Kluane Adamek

KLUANE ADAMEK (traditional name is “Aagé”) has served as the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) Yukon Regional Chief since January 2018. She is a proud northerner and citizen of Kluane First Nation. Regional Chief Adamek belongs to the Dakl’aweidi (Killerwhale) Clan and comes from a diverse background with Tlingit, Southern Tutchone, German and Irish origins.

NABEEL SHAKEEL AHMED is a Management Consultant at the City of Toronto, working on urban technology policy issues such as smart cities, digital infrastructure, data governance, digital equity, and supporting a turn towards technology in the public interest. He specialist in the use of data and technology in cities, with strong skills in research, analysis, project management, and community engagement.

Chris Alexander

CHRIS ALEXANDER is an expert in international relations, a retired diplomat, and former Member of Parliament. He is currently a Distinguished Fellow with the Canadian International Council and the Macdonald-Laurier Institute, as well as a Senior Distinguished Fellow of the Montreal Institute for Global Security (MIGS). He has been active on issues related to disinformation, election integrity, foreign interference, support for Ukraine and the defence of democracy, and is a regular contributor to Canadian newspapers, periodicals and policy fora.

Eileen Antone

Dr. EILEEN ANTON, Professor Emeritus, University of Toronto is a member of the Oneida of the Thames First Nation - Turtle Clan. She is the past Director of Aboriginal Studies/Centre for Aboriginal Initiatives at the University of Toronto. Dr. Antone served as a faculty member in the department of Adult Education, Community Development, and Counselling Psychology as well as the Transitional Year Programme.

Lloyd Axworthy

LLOYD AXWORTHY, is a Canadian politician, human security advocate, and academic administrator. A Princeton-educated academic (PhD), he had been a student activist, which he attributed to his formative years and United Church roots. His political career would span 27 years, 6 in the Manitoba Legislative Assembly and 21 in the federal Parliament. He has played a leading role in a number of international treaties including the establishment of the International Criminal Court and the Protocol on child soldiers.

Thomas S. Axworthy

Dr. THOMAS S. AXWORTHY, PhD., has had a distinguished career in government, academia, and philanthropy. He served as an assistant to the Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, then the Minister of National Revenue, before joining the Prime Minister’s office as Senior Policy Advisor, and then Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, where he was a key strategist on repatriation of the Constitution and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Robert Baines

ROBERT BAINES is the President and CEO of the NATO Association of Canada, where he is focused on communicating the importance of NATO and the international-rules based order to Canadians. Robert is a regular commentator on NATO issues in the Canadian media and has represented the NATO Association at the side conferences of the 2016 NATO Warsaw Summit, the 2018 Brussels Summit and the 2019 NATO Leaders’ Meeting in London.

Keith Banting

KEITH BANTING is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Political Studies and Stauffer Dunning Fellow in the School of Policy Studies. His research interests focus on public policy in Canada and other contemporary democracies. He has had a long-standing interest in the politics of social policy and has extended this research to include ethnic diversity, immigration, and multiculturalism.

Sergey Batsanov

SERGEY BATSANOV is a senior practitioner and scholar in international security, arms limitation and non-proliferation, and is the Director of the Geneva Office of Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs. He served as USSR then Russian Ambassador to the Conference on Disarmament from 1989 to 1993, after having worked on arms control and disarmament issues in Moscow. He was also a senior member of the secretariat of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) from 1993 to 2004.
