Julian Egelstaff

Biography:

JULIAN EGELSTAFF is a software developer and consultant, who helps non-profit and public sector groups, organize their data, turning messy information and chaotic processes into beautiful databases that blend in smoothly with how people actually work. Recently, Egelstaff has assisted the Public Policy Program at Massey College in developing their new website.

Prior to his 29 years in the software industry, Egelstaff received a Bachelor of Journalism and Philosophy from Carleton University, with a fourth year focus on political reporting. Accordingly, the question, "What is true?" was central to his entire undergraduate education.

Today, Egelstaff designs and builds systems to manage information, and helps people use them effectively. He believes strongly in the importance of accuracy, correctness, and skepticism, and in the utility of occasional paranoia.
