Tony Ventura

Biography:

TONY VENTURA is the Director of Information Technology Services for the Peel Regional police and has worked as an IT professional in the policing sector for over 31 years. 

Tony has been integral in the digital transformation and maturation of the security program at Peel Regional Police.  Tony continues to lead the digitization and transformation of Peel Police’s IT infrastructure to support initiatives such as the deployment of smartphones, private cellular network for public safety, body worn and in-car cameras just to name a few. Of special importance is the alignment of technology deployments in support of community safety and well-being.

In addition, Tony is an advocate for cybersecurity education and skilling. He is an advisor in cybersecurity higher education and a former professor at Sheridan College for the Cybersecurity and Cybercrime undergrad course.

Tony holds the CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CCISO and ITIL 4 Managing Professional certifications.
